Directions: My idea is that this will be an evolving blog post that will help you with your quiz this Friday. As you read Chapter #9, add key ideas (along with your analysis!) to the blog post that will help everyone else. In other words, your classmates should be able to get a good idea about what Chapter #9 is about just from reading these blog posts. Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Maybe I'll even choose the quiz questions from your posts..

The American Revolution was the most valid event to occur because is it was a violent overthrow of the existing political framework. The American Revolution impacted the effort of abolishing slavery in the North. It also gave women the chance to become vital supporters of the revolutionary cause. The States constitutions was very weak because the government couldn't taxes the people, they also couldn't trade with other countries, and they were financially in debt. This negative impacts caused the Federalists to create the Articles of Confederation. But signing the Articles of Confederation was very tough because of Western Lands. But it gave each state the chance to vote in the Congress. But unfortunately this law didn't work too. So the Constitution was created and it was the first Constitution that combined self rule and self limiting system of checks and balances, allowing for liberty and order. The founding fathers made all this purpose, we own everything to them.

I agree with you Ama. Another key event that we should remember is the Shays Rebellion. When the farmers couldn't pay their mortgage and tax so their farms were taken away. The Articles of Confederation failed in many ways too. No president, only one vote for each state, and a weak government. This conferation was seen as "leage of friendship." The American Revolution had many social changes.

In chapter 9, it states how the Articles Of Confederation was recognized as the "Articles Of Confusion" due to how weak it was and how little it provided but it was stated to help the colonies in various ways.Congress became weak it had no direct power over the colonies. All states seem free to establish what they wanted due to how much control they had.But after dealing with a failing structure for so long a strong constitution was brought about by congress which seemed to have significant ideals and a much more peaceful, evolutionary methods that was made to help this weak country.

Virginia and New York eventually ratified the Constitution before it was put into effect. Rhode Island and North Carolina were the last states to ratify it, and they did so only after the new government had been in operation for a few months.

The Articles of Confederations is something we should remember because it was used to protect the power of the states. They did not need the states to pay taxes or war debts, which created even more economic problems. The Articles of Confederations created a weak government that had very small control over the states.

Something that's was important and could be on the test is how they created a confederation. This confederation didn't happen with any constitutional authority at all. They got together and made a draft for the written constitution for the new nation. This was written in both English and in French because the English and French had a tight alliance with each other

The American Revolution caused radical changes in the United States from 1776-1790. The people wanted land and woman wanted more of a political voice. Slavery also wanted to be abolished. When the states created a constitution , the act of confederation, the main point was that each state had a "weak" government and each state had only 1 vote. Since the United States had a lot of debt to pay off the people thought it would be better to turn the whole west into a government so they can pay off debt quicker. The states decided that they would come together for common problems. They noticed that the conferderation wasn't really working out how they planned so instead they created the constitution. The constitution wasn't a strict set of laws but more like rules. The constitution clearly worked out , we still use it today

the Virginia statue for religious freedom was Thomas Jefferson way of say you don't need to be in a specific really, worship who you want or don't worship all, its completely up to you now. shortly after the Quakers upgraded their society to a anti- slavery society and congress decides to re- touch the scenario. finally they came up with something know as the Articles of confederation. the new jersey plan, great compromise and three fifths compromise all aided in the abolishment of slavery, I'm a little unclear on which one helped the most. federalist became paranoid at the constitutional convention that the power of the common law would over-ride them ( its all about survival of the rich and powerful nation for federalist, the people could be robots for all they care). states such as north Carolina, Virginia, new york and Rhode island didn't want to sign the constitution due to the fact that they didn't like the checks and balances system as they thought they could manage that stuff on their own. eventually they all came to their senses and signed.

The american Revolution was an inevitable event. Because of all the things that happened between the British and the Colonies the revolution was imminent to happen. For example, the British wanted to tax the Colonies without giving them representation. This made the colonist angry because the British also started to raise taxes making them pay more money. Another example is the Boston Massacre on March 5, 1770, where five colonist die by the hands of British soldiers. Also the colonist actually tried to work things out peacefully with the king but when they wrote to him he didn't even responded back to them. This action open the eyes of the colonies even more showing them the king doesn't want to made a deal. Other actions like closing the ports so that the colonist wouldn't trade with other country's. All of this actions and more were the causes of an inevitable revolution by the Patriots.

The American Revolution inevitable because of the disagreements between the 13 colonies. For example, abolishing slavery in the North, women rights to vote, and taxes. The States constitutions was very weak because the governments rules allowed each state to have its own currency, limiting their trade systems and putting them in financially in debt. These negative impacts caused the Federalists to create the Articles of Confederation. Signing the Articles gave each state the chance to vote in the Congress. However this wasn't enough. So they later created a Constitution that combined self rule and self limiting system of checks and balances, allowing for liberty and order. I believe If this was done sooner then maybe the revolution could have been denied.
